Flau’Jae Johnson, guard for LSU Women’s basketball has created a community beyond basketball. Flau’Jae has a music career in rapping, but is very active across all social media platforms. Her most recent viral hit has been her impersonating her head coach Kim Mulkey.

“Getting my Canes deal is what took off for me and after that other people started reaching out and it made me want to keep going further,” Pickett said.
Though being a student athlete and influencer has its benefits, It’s important to still prioritize yourself and academics.
“If my grades aren’t correct then I can’t cheer, I always make sure I have time for school and let that drive me into cheer,” Pickett said.
LSU among other schools continuously bring in athletes that strive to build their brand beyond just their sport.
