With student government elections approaching, lsu students are voicing concerns. They hope the next student government leadership will address. Many students say that campus infrastructure and transportation issues continue to impact their daily experience.
Several students pointed to parking as a top concern, citing limited availability and costly citations. One student said they want to see “more parking.” while another described the situation as “horrible.”
Others highlighted safety issues tied to campus conditions. One student said potholes remain a major problem and emphasized that students should be prioritized, adding that they feel students are being ignored.
Another student expressed frustration with parking enforcement, saying additional parking passes could help reduce ticketing. The student estimated they have accumulated close to $1,000 in parking tickets over the course of a semester.
Elections campaigns are currently underway, and voting for student government begins March 17.
