Every month, Painting with a Twist hosts a fundraiser event for an organization that is in need.
Painting with a Twist raised over $7 million in its charity events.
This month, they supported Companion Animal Alliance, an animal shelter where animals that don’t have a permanent home are taken care of.
Guests are welcomed by a pre-drawn image of their pet and then taught the painting basics, whether it is mixing colors to get the perfect shade, or stroking the brush to get the perfect look of fur.
It’s more than just painting at Painting with a Twist; it’s about community and giving back, as manager, Alec OBrian said,
“I have a personal connection with the organization, and I just thought it would be a nice thing to do for the shelter.”
Customers not only give back to the community when taking this class, but they are also
learning something new with painting and possibly finding a new love for art.
Painting instructor Amber Corinn, a graduate of LSU, is fairly new to teaching at Painting with a Twist, yet she thinks it’s so important to see people coming together to support the same cause.
“I think everyone just supporting the same cause is so important to be able to talk about that and experience it with everyone is so much fun.”
Painting with a Twist has monthly fundraisers, so if you want to give back, but in a fun, creative way, this is the perfect place for you.
