LSU Gymnastics had their first official practice of the year today, and senior Kiya Johnson spoke about the girls who have stepped up as leaders on this year’s team.
She also talked about how she has stepped out of her comfort zone in the off-season to fulfill her own leadership role as a senior.
Johnson also complimented graduate student Cammy Hall, who transferred from Utah this year. She fits right in with the team, according to Johnson.
In preparation for the 2023 season, Johnson is working on strengthening her calves and conditioning.
The team’s schedule this season begins with a meet at Utah in Salt Lake City where Johnson wants to be completely ready to give her all.
