LSU Football Head Coach Brian Kelly spoke to the media Thursday about how the No. 13 Purple and Gold will compare to the No. 20 Ole Miss Rebels.
Coach Kelly gave updates on linebacker Omar Speights, saying he is not 100% healthy but after practicing this week, he will be ready to play on Saturday.
After a stellar performance from wide receiver Brian Thomas against Arkansas, Coach Kelly mentioned how valuable he has become to the team.
“Brian has matured in everything he’s done,” Coach Kelly said. “Off the field, on the field… you can see that maturation process.”
With a new defensive coordinator in Pete Golding, Coach Kelly said Ole Miss’s defense has been revamped.
“They’re fundamentally sound and their structure is really good,” Coach Kelly said.
The Tigers hope to keep their offensive momentum going as they head to Oxford this weekend for the 5 p.m. matchup.
