LSU standout offensive lineman Will Campbell has announced that he will forego his final year of eligibility at LSU and is officially declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Before coming to Baton Rouge, Campbell was rated a 4-star recruit at Neville High School in Monroe, Louisiana. Enrolling into LSU alongside Harold Perkins Jr. and Emery Jones Jr., Campbell was part of the 2022 recruiting class that propelled LSU to be the seventh-best overall in the nation.
According to CBS Sports, Campbell is projected to be drafted early in the first round; with his selection expected to fall within the top 10.
In 2022, as a freshman, Campbell was recognized as LSU’s Offensive Lineman of the Year, selected to the Second-Team All-SEC, and elected by coaches to the Freshman All-SEC team.
Additionally, Campbell is the first true-freshman offensive lineman in LSU Football history to start at left tackle for an entire season.
Entering the 2023 season, the honors continued to pile in for this rising star. From being selected as a Joe Moore Award Finalist to being recognized as First-Team All-SEC by the coaches poll, the hype surrounding this 6’6, 323-pound budding superstar only continued to reach new heights.
Will Campbell has also been named as a semifinalist for the Outland Trophy (awarded to the nation’s best interior lineman) and is a finalist for the Lombardi Trophy (awarded to the most outstanding lineman who also embodies leadership).
LSU Tight End Mason Taylor has also but his name in for the 2025 NFL Draft. He announced on Instagram that he would be forgoing his last year of eligibility and declaring.
Taylor is widely seen as one of the top tight end prospect in this draft class. He is known for his mobility, and abilities to run routes with ease
Coming in at 6’5 and 225lbs, the junior is a standout in LSU tight end history. He is the only player at the position in school history to amount 100 catches and over 1000 yds of receptions.
While Taylor comes from a line of Hall of Famers. His father Jason Taylor was the 2006 NFL Defensive Player of the year, and was later inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. His uncle, Zach Thomas also played in the big leagues, and is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
As Taylor looks to continue a legacy of greatness in the NFL, his legacy as a Tiger will be written in the Tiger history books.
