Junior Maci Bergeron and Redshirt Freshman Tori Edwards spoke to the media about their performance last week as they look ahead to Georgia.
Bergeron is having a breakout year, batting .473 with a .610 OBP and she’s slugging .838. She has nearly doubled her percentages in every category.
“I just changed my whole mindset about it, I’ve been hunting pitches,” Bergeron said on the reason for her improvement. “Definitely more confident than I used to be.”
Edwards has been one of the best hitters on the team the whole season. She is third in the SEC for RBIs and home runs. She says keeping calm at the plate has really helped her.
“Not making the moment, any moment too big,” Edwards said. “And I think that’s just what’s allowed me to have the most success and just kind of keep performing.”
LSU Softball’s next game is at Georgia on Friday, March 21, at 5 p.m. CT inside Jack Turner Softball Stadium.
