LSU southpaw Kade Anderson was selected No. 3 overall by the Seattle Mariners in the 2025 MLB Draft.
The ace of the 2025 National Championship team became the fourth player in the last four seasons from LSU to be selected in the top five. He was ESPN’s No.1 overall prospect.
The 21 year-old from Madisonville, LA finished the 2025 season with 3.18 ERA and 180 strikeouts, the most in D1 baseball.
Anderson fired the second complete-game shutout in LSU College World Series history on June 21st in the first game of the CWS Final, helping his team secure the schools eighth national title in baseball.
Right-handed redshirt sophomore, Chase Shores was selected as the No. 47 pick by the Los Angeles Angels.
The Midland, TX native posted a 5-3 record with two saves and a 5.09 ERA over the 2025 National Championship season. Shores came back to the mound for the Tigers in 2025 after missing the 2o24 season due to Tommy John surgery.
Shores pitched in four of LSU’s five games in the Mens College World Series. Notably, Shores earned the save in Game 2 of the CWS Final on June 22 against Costal Carolina to secure his team the Championship.
All-American RHP Anthony Eyanson was selected No. 87 overall by the Boston Red Sox.
Eyanson posted a 12-2 record and 3.00 ERA in 20 appearances over the 2025 season. The First-Team All-American was No. 3 in strikeouts with 152.
The Lakewood, CA native was the winning pitcher of Game 2 of the CWS Final where he threw for 6.1 innings, limiting the Chanticleers to just three runs with nine strikeouts.
Outfielder Ethan Frey was the first non-pitcher off the board for the Tigers. Frey batted .331 on the year with 13 home runs, 50 RBI and 43 runs.
Frey scored the most runs for the Purple and Gold at the Mens College World Series, bringing in 6 for the Tigers.
The junior from Rosepine, LA provided a clutch RBI double in the final game of the CWS helping give the Tigers the lead in the third.
Frey served as the Tigers designated hitter for most of the 2025 season.
