LSU Baseball defeated Milwaukee 21-7 to complete the series sweep. Right Fielder Jake Brown led the way offensively for the Tigers with two home runs and six RBI’s. Pitcher Deven Sheerin struck out two batters in his first appearance on the mound since 2024.
The Tiger offense took advantage of every Milwaukee pitcher they faced today. Derek Curiel drove in three runs, Seth Dardar drove in three runs, and Trent Caraway drove in five runs.
Jake Brown mentioned that today, the team just felt different.
“When I put my fingerprint in the door today, we walked in and the energy was just outstanding,” Brown said.
“The energy was unrivaled today and I don’t know if there’s anyone in the country that showed up more ready to play than we were,” Brown said.
Pitcher Deven Sheerin got his first taste of action since 2024. Sheerin is coming back from rehabbing a torn ACL. In a limited appearance, he struck out two batters to close the fifth for LSU.
“I think just getting on the mound everytime I get out there, you know I’m just going to keep getting sharper,” Sheerin said.
Tigers will be back in the Box to take on Kent State on February 16 at 6 p.m. CT.
