LSU Athletics partnered with TEAM CATE to host a “Be The Match” campaign, aiming to find a life-saving donor for 11-year-old Cate Hargett.

Cate has spent much of her childhood battling bone marrow failure. Now, she’s turning her fight into a mission, raising awareness and helping others while continuing her own search for a match.

At the event, students simply scanned a QR code, answered a few questions, and completed a quick cheek swab to join the donor registry. The entire process takes just minutes but has the power to save a life.

Right now, Cate is still waiting for her match. Efforts like this are helping grow the registry and bring hope to families everywhere.
