A local group of Baton Rouge men have warmed the hearts of many by transforming themselves into the LSU Golden Girls.
The group unites men of all different ages, ethnicity, and backgrounds, to work towards one common goal.
This isn’t just a game of dress up though, the organization also works alongside local children’s hospitals to help raise awareness. Hosting fundraisers and participating in events focused towards helping children is one of their primary focuses.
Founded in 2018, the group continues to work towards empowering their community. With over $10,000 raised over the years for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.
They aim to raise self confidence within others, which is ultimately shown through their glamorous outfits inspired by the LSU Golden Girls.
“Disrupting the expected” is a motto often emphasized and followed by members.
Aside from fundraisers, the organization hosts tailgates on most LSU home games. Where you can find the “Golden Walk”; a red carpet inspired walk that’s purpose is to boost the confidence of those who walk by.
If you find yourself wandering the parade grounds on a gameday, stop by the Golden Guys tailgate to participate in their Golden Walk and find out more.
