Edna Karr High School in New Orleans, Louisiana has been recognized as one of the top powerhouses when it comes to Louisiana high school football.
Not only is this program one of the top in the state, it also serves as a major recruiting pipeline for LSU Football.
Year after year, the Cougars develop players ready to compete at the next level, both in college and, ultimately, in the NFL. The program’s track record speaks for itself with consistent state title runs, disciplined player development, and a standard that mirrors LSU’s own.
Defensive Lineman Richard Anderson said he feels Karr has gone above and beyond in getting him prepared for LSU.
“It prepared me mentally to go to college early, and you know I am ready to get up there and adapt to the change.” said Anderson.
Two current Edna Karr standouts are set to join the LSU Tigers for the 2026–27 season — four-star prospects Aiden Hall and Richard Anderson.
“I’m trying to bring DBU back to LSU.” Safety Aiden Hall said after a 61-12 senior night victory over Warren Easton.
Their commitments further strengthen the long-standing connection between the Cougars and the Tigers and further reinforce that Louisiana’s best talent doesn’t have to look far to play at the highest level.
From Friday nights in the Westbank to Saturday nights in Death Valley, Edna Karr will continue to set the standard for Louisiana High School Football.
