LSU Football players Harold Perkins Jr, Zavion Thomas, Jacobian Guillory, and Damian Ramos spoke to the media following their 9-20 loss to Alabama.
The team spoke on what improvements are to be expected this week as they face the Arkansas Razorbacks.
“We’re going to put great players on the field and try to give us the best opportunity to win,” said fifth-year-senior Jacobian Guillory II.
Guillory also mentioned accountability and how football is a team sport, and when one side plays bad the whole team plays bad.
The players also discussed the recent changes at the quarterback position, emphasizing how the shift would not affect the team’s confidence or preparation heading into Saturday’s game.
“Both of the quarterbacks are really good quarterbacks, they both know what they are doing when they get out there.” Wide Receiver Zavion Thomas said when asked about his confidence in the Quarterbacks.
Saturday’s game will also mark the Tigers’ first full week under interim head coach Frank Wilson, following the departure of former Head Coach Brian Kelly. Perkins said the team has full trust in Wilson’s leadership and approach.
New Orleans native, Harold Perkins Jr. shared “All the players trust what he’s bringing to our team. We trust each other and I feel like that’s all that matters.”
The Tigers are set to face the Arkansas Razorbacks, Saturday in Tiger Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:45 a.m, as LSU is looking to add to the win column after back to back losses and continue momentum as they head into the remainder of the season.
