LSU women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey addressed the media following the Tigers’ commanding win over the Charlotte 49ers.
Mulkey spoke about the team’s balance and her confidence in substituting players, knowing each one brings something valuable to the court.
“I have never confidently substituted like this, even in nonconference play. And what has dictated that is what goes on in practice,” Mulkey said.
She said recent social media posts ignited a fire within the team to go out and play their hardest.
“They took it real personal with all the stuff that was on social media. And I will leave it at that,” Mulkey said.
Mulkey’s overall confidence in the season appears high, but she said it all comes down to scoring the ball from all sides.
The Tigers will look to build on their momentum in their next matchup against Tulane on Monday, Nov. 17, in New Orleans.
