LSU Men’s Basketball players Mike Nwoko and Marquel Sutton talked to the media after the Tigers’ 93-58 win against New Orleans.
The Tigers dominated the Privateers through the use of their bigs in the paint. LSU scored 42 points in the paint this game.
“I truly feel like we have the best frontcourt in the nation,” Nwoko said when asked about the team’s paint production.
Sutton is a player who has struggled as a three-point shooter in his career, but scored all 15 of his points on three-pointers in the victory.
“I put a lot of time into it, if I just keep repping it out, it shows out there on the court,” Sutton said when asked about his shooting performance.
This game makes it back-to-back games where the Tigers have scored 90 or more points.
“The main thing is just trusting each other,” Nwoko said when asked about how the offense has been performing well.
“I feel like we have no one on the team that’s selfish and won’t give up a good shot for an even greater shot.”
The win moves the Tigers to 2-0, and they will look to make it 3 in a row with a win against FIU in their next game.
